How do I enter the venue? What is the process?
You can enter the venue from either the main entrance on the corner of Girard & Frankford Ave, or via the side door on Girard near the accessibility ramp. The latter will place you in front of the stairs that take you to the second floor venue.
You will need to verify your ID with security before heading up to the venue, where tickets can be purchased or your ticket can be scanned.
Is there a bag policy? What can I bring to the venue?
There is no set bag policy for shows at Johnny Brenda’s.
No outside food or drink is allowed.
Is the venue standing only? Are there ADA accommodations?
The venue is on the second floor of the building, and requires climbing a set of stairs.
Shows are generally standing only general admission, first come first served.
There is limited seating at the bar on the first level of the venue, and stools on the balcony.

Is there a bag/coat check?
In the winter, there is a public coat rack that be used next to the all-gender bathrooms behind the venue bar.

There’s an ATM located in the venue near the bathrooms.
Is there a bar?
Yes, there is a main bar in the venue area.
There is also a smaller bar on the balcony that is generally open on weekends and for larger shows.
Additionally, the first floor has a bar and restaurant with no cover charge.
Is there food or a restaurant on premises? If not, where can I eat?
Food is served in the downstairs bar/restaurant from 11am – 1am.
Is there a water station/fountain?
There are water jugs and cups available in front of the venue bar.
Where are the bathrooms?
There is an all-gender bathroom behind the venue bar, as well as more men’s toilets down the hall next to the right of the venue bar.
There are additional bathrooms on the first floor of the building as well.
Where can I buy merch?
Bands often set up merch on the tables where you first enter the venue.
Johnny Brenda’s is the king of independent venues in Philly. With its vintage charm and intimate stage, it’s a place where breakout bands and established acts alike come to play.
The balcony on the 3rd floor is a great way to see the show, but get up there before the first opener plays if you want to guarantee a prime view.
