Street Festivals, Porchfests, and Outdoor Events
Rex Manning Day – Mid April
An annual Philadelphia block party held on or around April 8th (often on the nearest weekend), organized by the South Street Art Mart. Celebrates the movie Empire Records and features a stage for live performances, as well as a variety of craft and food vendors.

A single day DIY music festival that occurs across the front yards and porches of houses and establishments in West Philly, showcasing local musicians and bands.

A skateboarding competition at FDR park with a heavy emphasis on live bands, as well as a variety of craft and food vendors.

A family friendly West Philly music festival in a beloved park. Features live music as well as food and other vendors.

Roxyunk Porchfest – Early to Mid October
A single day DIY music festival that occurs across the front yards and porches of houses in the neighborhoods of Roxborough and Manayunk, showcasing local musicians and bands.

Two Piece Fest – Mid February
An “annual celebration of duos”; a lineup featuring a variety of two-person bands, performing for this single day indoor festival.

RoxYunk native Dave Hause set this festival up as a three day celebration of punk, rock, and acoustic music. In addition to music, you’ll find local food and drink, craft beer, tattoos, art, and more.

A loud and heavy metal festival centered around craft beer.

A DIY hardcore and punk fest creating space for POC communities in Philly.

Wawa Welcome America – July 4th
The nation’s largest 4th of July celebration takes place in front of the Art Museum, and offers free performances from large musical names.

Philly Music Fest – Mid to Late October
This non-profit festival occurs across various Philly venues over the course of a week, featuring both nationally recognized and emerging Philly musicians, in the genres of rock, punk, hip hop, bluegrass, jazz, pop, metal and R&B.
