Underground Arts is a small capacity, two-room club in Callowhill/Spring Garden area that hosts local and nationally touring artists, DJs, and other artistic programming, including movie screenings and themed events.

How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. You can also purchase tickets for future shows in person and save on fees.

How do I enter the venue? What is the process?
The entrance to Underground Arts is on Callowhill St, with a staircase leading up to the door. Typically, venue security will check your ID and bags on the stairwell before you enter the building.
You will then descend two flights of stairs, and then take the door on the left to enter a room where they will check your tickets. This is also more or less the “box office” if you are looking to buy tickets for that night or for a future gig.
You will then enter the main venue room, where you’ll find the sound booth and merch tables in the back, the bar(s) along the side, and the stage at the front.
If you continue on past the merch tables, the bathrooms will be down the hall to your left, another room with a bar (and occasionally a stage for special events) will be straight ahead, and a seasonal coat check will be on the right.
Is there a bag policy? What can I bring to the venue?
Bags are allowed and will be searched by event staff before entering the venue. Clear bags are not required.
There are no cameras, video recorders, or audio recorders permitted in the venue. All media passes must be approved by band management.
No outside food, beverages, flyers, stickers, handbills, mace, knives, or tools of vandalism will be permitted into the venue. Empty water bottles can be brought in to refill.
Is the venue standing only? Are there ADA accommodations?
Underground Arts is typically a General Admission standing venue – special events might have seating and it will be specifically mentioned within the event description + on your ticket.
There are multiple sets of stairs while entering the venue. They also have an elevator and lift system to help access the venue. If you require accommodations, please let event staff know. You may also reach out to the venue at info@undergroundarts.org in advance of the show.
They also offer accessible bathrooms.
Is there a bag/coat check?
There is a coat check between the two main rooms on the way to the bathroom.
Is there an ATM?
There is an ATM located in the room with the box office/tickets.
Is there a bar?
Yes, there are two bars – one in the main concert room, and one in the second room. Cash or card.
Is there food or a restaurant on premises? If not, where can I eat?
Food + small bites are available at the bar.
Is there a water station/fountain?
There is a water fountain by the bathrooms.
Where are the bathrooms?
Down the hallway to the left of the main concert room.
Where can I buy merch?
Merch tables are set up in the back of the main venue room.
Underground Arts is a great venue for checking out live music, small festivals, and themed events.
Underground Arts is one of the few venues in Philadelphia that does not have a barricade, and often hosts highly energetic crowds.
