How can I purchase tickets?

Tickets are available online or can be purchased on site at the Box Office on show days (typically opens 2 hours before doors).

The Box Office window can be accessed outside of the venue to the right of the main entrance; there’s also a window in the main lobby if you want to purchase tickets for a future show – save on ticket fees and surcharges.

How can I get to the venue?

Union Transfer has a private and staffed parking lot located directly behind the building, between 10th and 11th Streets and Nectarine and Buttonwood Streets. The lot is available starting at 6pm and will be monitored by security until the end of the show. Parking is $20.

There may be free street parking much farther from the venue.

The closes SEPTA stops are:

• Spring Garden Stop (BSL)
• Various bus routes (23, 43, 45, 47)

How do I enter the venue? What is the process?

The main entrance is under the awning on Spring Garden. If you need to pick up tickets from Will Call, you will stop at the box office first (to the right).

You will queue and the security will check IDs and bags and verify your tickets. If you have a VIP ticket, there may be a separate queue.

You’ll pass through the opening to the right of entrance foyer and you’ll be in the main lobby. Merch is typically to your left, and you’ll see Entrance doors on either side. These will bring you into the main general admission room.

There is also a 21+ balcony. To access, you will enter the bar that’s to the left of the main lobby room, and ascend a set of stairs on your right. There is also a second staircase next to the first floor main bar to which you can access the balcony.

Standing and seating in the upstairs showroom balcony on a first-come, first-served basis. The prime seats and the prime railing spots on the balcony fill up quickly so we suggest getting upstairs before the opener starts to guarantee a spot with good sightlines. Note: if a show is undersold, the balcony may be closed

Is there a bag policy? What can I bring to the venue?

Union Transfer does have a bag policy and prohibits certain items – please read their FAQ for the most up-to-date restrictions.

Is the venue standing only? Are there ADA accommodations?

Union Transfer is a general admission venue, which is mostly standing room only. However, they do have a limited number of seating options available in the upstairs showroom balcony on a first-come, first-served basis. These seats are known as “bleacher seats” and are not able to be reserved in advance.

Is there a bag/coat check?

Yes – there is a bag/coat check in the lobby of the venue (cash only).

Is there a bar?

Union transfer has three bars, two downstairs and one upstairs that serves the balcony area (if the balcony is open). The main bar has a sightline to the stage with some very limited seating and and some elevated railing space. All of the bar areas are 21+ and your ID will be checked and hand stamped for access.

The second bar is in the very back of the venue to the left as you exit security. It can also be reached through a door and down some steps from the first bar. The second bar has a very large seating area with tables and is a good space for a group to congregate before entering the main venue. The stage is not visible from the second bar but there are TVs that display the performances.

The third upstairs bar is up a large flight of stairs directly to the right of the second bar. It also has no sightlines to the stage but there is a small tv and a couple of high top tables.

Note: Most shows do not allow alcohol onto the main floor of the venue

Is there food or a restaurant on premises? If not, where can I eat?

Union Transfer serves snacks at the snack bar in the lobby (soft pretzels, soda, chips) and there is an Ortlieb’s cart that serves hot dogs and vegan dogs.

Where are the bathrooms?

There are genderless bathrooms in the main showroom to the left of the stage. One bathroom is stalls only, and the other has stalls and urinals.

There is a second set of 21+ genderless bathrooms in the back of the venue behind the second bar. One bathroom is stalls only, and the other has stalls and urinals.

Where can I buy merch?

Merch is set up on the left hand side when you enter the venue lobby.
